Felix d’Hermillon is a Chicago-based guitarist, producer, songwriter, and teacher whose work centers on the intersection of technique, tone, and personal expression. Rooted in classical training but shaped by years of exploring jazz, indie rock, and modern production, Felix approaches music as a living language—one that evolves through curiosity, discipline, and collaboration. He earned his degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the Moody Bible Institute in 2022, studying under Norm Ruiz and Samuel Mösching. During this time, he developed a strong technical foundation while also expanding into improvisation, composition, and contemporary styles beyond the traditional classical canon.
Outside of academia, Felix maintains an active presence in the Chicago music community, regularly performing in church settings and collaborating with local artists. His creative work extends into production and songwriting, with contributions to Far Green Country as well as his own solo releases, which lean into textured, indie-inspired sound worlds.
As an instructor, Felix prioritizes clarity, adaptability, and artistic growth. His teaching balances fundamentals with exploration—helping students build confidence on the instrument while also encouraging them to find their own voice, whether that means learning their first chords or refining a more advanced, stylistically diverse approach.”
