Guitar

Dylan Barnett is a Chicago based guitarist, composer, songwriter, and educator whose eclectic involvement in a variety of genres sets him apart from the average musician. With an extensive background in both jazz and most genres of popular music, Dylan’s musical style refuses to be confined to a single genre, and instead embraces a mixture of all the music that inspires him.

Having graduated from the jazz program at the Depaul University School of Music in 2020, Dylan spent four years studying with some of Chicago’s best working jazz musicians such as Bob Palmieri, Dennis Carroll, and Mike Allemana. He spent his last two years at DePaul as the guitarist for the Jazz Workshop under the leadership of Dana Hall.

In addition to his studies in jazz music, Dylan regularly performs a variety of styles of music ranging from pop, indie rock, funk, and blues. He regularly performs and records with the pop cover group the Divas, singer-songwriter Sophia Cruz, and bands Jacob on the Moon and Dee Beam.
