Hayden Cusmano is a professional guitarist and educator who has established himself as a well-known member of the Detroit music scene. He emphasizes strong musical foundations, clear technique, and personalized instruction, helping students of all ages and skill levels develop confidence, creativity, and musical fluency.
As a performing musician, Hayden has played at many notable Detroit venues including Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe, Cliff Bell’s, Aretha’s Jazz Cafe, and has performed multiple times at the Detroit Jazz Festival. His experience performing in a variety of live settings informs his teaching, giving students real-world insight into musicianship, ensemble playing, and performance preparation.
In addition to freelance work, Hayden leads his own jazz trio and maintains a weekly residency at The Ebenezer in downtown Plymouth, where he regularly performs and collaborates with other local musicians. His continued involvement in live performance allows him to bring current, practical experience into every lesson.
