Kurt Bonamer was born and raised in Westmont, Illinois. Kurt received his bachelors from Northern Illinois University in tuba performance. Kurt’s primary teachers were Charlie Schuchat, Richard Armandi and Kelly Sill. Kurt has been teaching private lessons for over 15 years. Kurt performs with his own groups, including a polka band, brass quintet, and a small traditional jazz group. Kurt has also performed with many local orchestras and was a regular member of the Wheaton Municipal band for 10 seasons.
