Rachel Kye is a vocalist and educator from Southern California. She has taken part in many
opera productions and has played Orfeo in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, Zia Principessa in Puccini’s
Suor Angelica, Mistress Quickly in Verdi’s Falstaff, and more. She was a finalist in the
Meistersinger Vocal Competition in Graz, Austria in 2022 and the winner of the Kleinman
Competition in Chicago.
Ms. Kye is an experienced piano instructor who has been teaching since 2011. With a playful
and patient demeanor, Rachel connects with both children and adults, tailoring her teaching
approach to their unique needs.
Her flexibility and personalized guidance allow students of all ages to explore music at their
own pace, whether they're beginners or seasoned players. Rachel's dedication to cultivating a
solid foundation in music theory, musicianship, and technique ensures her students not only
play the piano but also develop a deep understanding of music.
In addition to piano instruction, Rachel is also a skilled voice teacher, offering comprehensive
vocal training to students across age groups. She is committed to continuous improvement in
the art of pedagogy and makes sure motivate her students to approach their musical studies
with enthusiasm.
Whether you're a budding pianist or an aspiring vocalist, Ms. Kye will gently guide you on a
transformative musical journey, fostering a lasting love for music and its expressive forms.
She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in vocal performance from DePaul University.
